A Taste of Brazil: Cachaça Limeade

A good cocktail recipe is one of our favorite travel souvenirs. Weeks, months, or even years after returning home, we’re just a sip away from that hidden locals-only beach, that cozy café, that adventurous afternoon. This tropical take on limeade is the latest treat inspired by our recent trip to Brazil, where we shot our February lookbook. The star ingredient? cachaça, a.k.a. Brazilian rum, a distilled spirit made from sugarcane juice. Now if you’ll excuse us, we have some daydreaming to do.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED1 lime, quartered

1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons sugar

1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons condensed milk

1 cup coconut water

1.5 ounces cachaça

HOW TO MAKE ITAdd lime, sugar, condensed milk and half of the coconut water to a blender; blend well. Strain mixture to remove lime rinds, then add the remaining coconut water and cachaça. Pour over ice and serve.
